Taking a needs assessment style approach the Supporting document for the commissioning of domestic abuse in Sheffield has been published. Information contained in the report includes prevelence estimates, police reported incidents, numbers accessing Local Authority commissioned support services, children and young people affected by domestic abuse, risk factors, perpetrators and sexual violence. Gaps are identifed and where applicable, it is noted how each is being addressed.
Sheffield Domestic Abuse services have developed a new leaflet which offers advice to people who want to help someone they know who is experiencing domestic abuse. This could be a friend, a relative, or a colleague. It can be hard to know what is best to say or what to do if you are really worried about someone’s safety.
